Unbeknown to my conscious mind I’ve a knack of being rude, obnoxious and insulting lil thing. How I’ve grown to be like that… well I’m not sure. It’s definitely not from the genes or the folks, I think I learn somewhere along the way from televisions and books. However I do not find myself being the three characteristic above I mention (ok, maybe just a little), I think it’s my sense of high humour- dry humour.

People who really knows me well, well got the hang of it and it has become a norm to them. Quote from what IronChef said, “ the day you act nice, is the day something is wrong with you”!

Please don’t get the statement above wrongly… I’m not a big time evil person, I’m just mean, wicked and intolerant to lots most of the time. But I’m nice la… I’m NICE!!

So there goes my chance of befriending new people and knowing potential suitors… gone LA!!

I don’t think I’m careless with my remarks, I just say like it is. I say it spontaneously whatever comes to my mind after a split second of filtering what to and not to say.

I ambiguously like the fact I can be unintentionally insulting, I didn’t realize this inborn trait I had in me after much corruption of the media and novels. I got to tone down that bit. Sigh~ it’s hard to be yourself as you get older. Why did my maam ever keep telling me to be pleasant and nice to people that I don’t see the need for? I know it won’t kill me but it takes my patience.

deception

Just so you know… I like those unpleasant characters from Disney characters and fictional stories. Such as Grumpy from Snow White, Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Tarabas from Cave of the Golden Roses, Peter Pan, Lee Young-Jae from Full House… etc. You get the characters.

I find them delightfully funny in their own negativity, wit and sarcasm. There’s no point of sarcasm, dry wit humor when no one gets it anyway. Redundant. No one to appreciate. My as well be mute and stay mute.

Okie back to Parasites, my lovelies which I can’t distinguish one from the other, except those really good looking distinguishable ones. Love them most especially.

Another just a nice to know… Jea put my infamous trait in a nicer way =)
“but i personally think that since u’ve ventured out on ur own – u have learnt to be more tactful in a way. but sometimes when u choose to be honest – u can be very blunt.”

And someone told me not to beat around the bush once… sigh! Growing older!

Hum bug!

deception

Do you have a habit of making and keeping new year resolutions?

Well i don’t. It is redundant when i know it’s not something i’m going to keep. Hence i have some I-wants for the 2008 =p hehheehe

deception

i like the couch…
How ever i don’t think it is comfortable. But it will make a nice decoration though =)
If i ever get a house with a big hall i’ll probably get this ship from Indonesia.

deception

<i like this piece of wood for room partition
This pretty cool piece too! Will Be shipping it! hehehe

Nearly everyone i know of from different social groups went to BALI edi!! I’ve been here for 2 years and still i’ve not been there or tried Babi Guling! How Pathetic!!!!!!!!

I want to go backpacking! Somewhere in Indonesia i think i can survive la =) Anyone wants to join me? contact me here! YoooHooo!

My Family have went to CHIANG MAI! Gosh! The only place i’ve been abroad is Indonesia and am going to be here for the next 4 years. The only few places that i went in Indonesia is Bandung, Malang, Surabaya and Jakarta but only briefly.

so HOLIDAY, HOLIDAY, somewhere far away and a different place come to ME!!

Somewhere near Jalan Merbabu and the Catholic Ijen church there was this place boutique, where i saw this…

deception

too look gorgeous in it… you must have the height too..

and fell in love with the dresses.

I like the Marroon one and the red looks better in the picture due to the lighting =) So nice to wear it for some nice function like some fine dining event or Xmas and New Year countdown celebration. hehehe.

Which do you like?

Malaysia’s leading mobile phone are Hotlink (012/017), Celcom (019/013) and DiGi (016). In Indonesia the famous lines are Simpati, Mentari and IM3 (of Indosat), XL (bebas and jempol) and some newest such as Tiga3 and other lines cheaper for calling but you need a CDMA phone would be Fren, E-asia, one more i can’t recall.

Well i saw Simpati were promoting their line in the middle of the road, where there’s a mini round about. It is so traffic congesting causing for doing that and it’s legal to do it here! At least back home you can see mobile line promoting at the side of the road shops like Bangsar.

the red clowns

stupid car blocking my photoshoot…
by the way that area is just near my place. Just imagine who will do that in Malaysia’s weather? At least we put the mascot in shady place or better still malls.

Look at the maskot for Simpati… they look like red bozo clowns to me. So unattractive… i don’t know the mascot’s name, but if i were to name it will be Sympathy man which is exactly the same meaning as Simpati. DiGi’s YCF is so much more cuter and funnier.

DiGi’s YCF is going places

They have their own jiggle too which is the Boing-boing dance and their own theme song ” i will follow him” by Little Peggy March based on the 1963 Billboard Hot 100 No.1 song.

The advertisings here are more outrageous than Malaysia. I remembered having a yumchar session earlier this year somewhere in ss15, some of us were watching a young girl about a few years older than i am was selling Hotlink goodies… cap, pen, t-shirts and stuff. Well one of the trio group of men who are old enough to be someone’s daddy was disturbing the girl by giving her a hard time. Requesting to buy items that was not in the list. Making quite a scene. Give the girl some dignity will you? It’s hard having a pretty face or body sometimes, as you get unwanted attentions from HamSap lou(s) like them. ASS HOLES! Thankfully the owner of the bistro came and diffuse the situation and ease the drunkard fool.

ok back to the other advertising live promotion i saw before this was during night time just beside my hostel. A big van was parked aside, there was a small stage-like where the DJ plays some clubbing music and the speakers placed, and a medium looking stalls selling cigarettes of of some funny local brand which i can’t recall. To get everyone’s attention they got 3 pretty looking girls clad in baby-t and hot pants with skin coloured leggings and hand cover which looks like tissue materials, dancing sexily in front of the road! Yet again, the road was congested! The opposite side of the road was parked by motorcycles with unbeknown thoughts going through their head of the scene in front of them. I wonder what is their opinion of this.

btw, here are some nice cute and funny DiGi’s YCF in

YouTubeMalaysia

… did you know there was one?

OMG! It’s the first time i saw the on goings on Hari Raya Haji Korban in Indonesia in the 2 years of life here!

ok, the first time in Jatinangor they did lots of slaughtering opposite my hostel, because i woke up late i didn’t get to see the whole process. There were small parade along the Jalang Sayang. I can’t recall so much of the details as memories fades me, quite frequently now.

On the 19th Dec, my campus had quite a number of goats! Baaaa….
They were all smelly and hairy and munching on the campus plants! There was no cows though, but what smell will it be with moo moo around.

The Hypermart in Matos were selling loads of fresh meat and fishes! The freshest i’ve ever seen in the fish section! So tempted to buy one or two but i don’t know how to cook!

deception

Giant Fish Roe

I wonder what sort of fish did the roe came from? It was so huge to make my jaw drop and look like a jakun!

At the meat section i see a woman buying like a big plastic bag of mince beef meat! WhoLLY MOLLY! It’s alot! She practically ask for the whole tray! And others were queuing up for the same thing!

These are the others beef spare parts packed at the frozen section that eve of Hari Raya Haji Korban.

deception

L: beef guts, R: Beef Skin

Looks eew? Well there’s more spare part they eat. I’ve tried the cookings of the spare parts and it ain’t too bad. I’ve not eaten beef guts so no comment, probably taste like “Kun Chiang” which is pork guts in Bak Kut Teh or any soup. The beef skin, they usually cut it in tiny pieces and cook it with tofu, stir fry it with wet chillies and sweet soya sauce and other condiments that i don’t know of.

deception

L: beef tendons, R: Beef knee

ok the names probably sound weird, on the left they call it urat sapi and the right is kikil sapi. Eating urat itself i’ve never tried but usually they do mix it in bakso (which is Indonesian Beef Balls) and name it Bakso Urat. Not bad.. crunchy! Kikil sapi from what i was told from my friend is the knee part of the cow or bull. Didn’t know what it actually looks like until then. This you can find in Nasi Padang dish, which is cooked in lots of santan like curry kuah (but iit ain’t spicy at all). It looks like a big chunk of beef skin which is very hard to tear apart. Ok sounds gross… but the Malaysian boys of my classmate love it!

L:boiled beef lungs, R: mix beef meat for soto

Well that is really EeeW! I didn’t know they treat this as a delicacy. Do you know that beef lung and chicken feet skin can be made into chips here @ keripik? Beef lung is tough feet! Really unchewable unless one has carnivorous teeth! As for the right mix beef meat is for soto cooking. Soto can be make of chicken or beef, which is actually meat boiled in soups with a little bit of vege. However i don’t like the typical beef soto, i only like the one from Makassar, the dish they call COTO MAKASSAR.
