Pizza Hut Yum Seng
:: yum seng ::

Yesterday it was time to spend time with the seniors who were always around for us. Frankly, we rarely gather for a meal but we usually gather in the kost (hostel), chit chat, bbq and etc.

Most of my batchmates did not sleep, we stayed up to send our seniors off. 2 of them were leaving tonight. Them leaving has just officiate my batch as one of the older seniors now.

Tears were running high this afternoon! Sigh~ good bye can just be so hard sometimes.

There is a massive shift of positioning now. I couldn’t help but brought up the topic to my friends that night. As a thrid year seniors, how are we suppose to act? How are we suppose to guide the others? When we ourselves feel not ready for it. Are or decisions going to be the right ones?
We ourselves have no more closed seniors for good examples. We are at lost too…

Too many questions that overwhelm us that wee night/morning.

It is harder for one person to leave or miss so many people than many people to leave or miss one person.

Only my batch was sending my seniors of with a smiling face although they were crying…

For my farewell, everyone should smile happily, be merry and wish me lots of well wishes instead of crying and mourning of my absence. This way, there is less attachment and utus earsier for all to let go and go on with life.

Knowing you seniors have been one of the best privelages in my Uni life. I learnt alot from getting motivation, seeing ur views and learning about personalities. Thank you!

i think everyday i am worrying tak tentu pasal about something which i can’t really put a finger on besides studies. fuuhh…. feels like brain constipation to me.

Anyway… i had a huge craving for Pek Zham Kei!! *drools* this is what stress does to me anyway and it was the ayam bertutu from Warung Bali’s fault that i had yesterday. Anyway, mommy was so nice to call me after receiving my msg on how to prepare the chicken rice! Just waitng to get that particular pot and cook it!! YUM!!

It’s amazing how much of procrastination i can do! I’ve taken so many pictures on places that i’ve visited, gastronomic menu i’ve consume, yet i never post them up even when i’ve edited the pics! Bugger boo!

There was once i had a sudden interest on making my own wantan! Cos i missed my grandma’s version when she made a long time ago. Sadly i was so kiam siap with the prawnss so it didn’t taste so nice. Prawns here mahal k! My itchy hand also change the receipe… i added stuff i shouldn’t! I fried the wan tan and steam ‘em… but the steam one or boiled one was tastier. Apparently, one of my chinese friend commented that the meat not enough fats in it so the texture was weird. I use mince chicken meat btw.

Since i ran out of wantan skin also known as pangsit skin, i decided to turn creative! I use up the chinese cabbage that i had lots to spare! Nutritious and balance! That was my first time doing it… i can’t even remember my self created receipe!

This was… XiaoDe was telling about her Taiwan trip and she ate Orr Jian (fried egg oyster)! Got me missing it! So ngam… the hypermart was selling some i bought and cooked… but tak jadi of course. So hard to wash the oyster. I think i wash nearly 10 times and i still can find sand!

Matos foodcourt was booming with french fries stalls: K-Patats, King Fries… etc. Cost about Rp 10k a portion and u can ask for two types of sauce to go with it.

My friends and i did our version! Hehehe… i had overleft cheese from making Batik Cake.

Those were the days when i had a fridge and TIME to cook something for myself when i fancy a certain craving =( Now no more cooking for me! Sad sad sad…

I used to have a penchant of pouring everything out in words on the moment of emotion i am feeling, but as  i read back i saw emo or melancholy. Somehow i think it is rather unhealthy. Anyway, i’ve been running dry on words, which i find it ridicule of me. How can someone run out of words and thoughts to say? So my guess deep down i am bothered with some stuff that i can’t find myself to express it here. So recently I introverted my feelings and thoughts.

It’s tiring to absorb everything from the environment. I feel like a sponge soaking up the wrong absorbants.

U know how people switch from one phase of their life to another? It feels like deja-vu for me because i’m stuck in between two phases. Choosing one will be hard now. The cosmic of my element or world is changing vastly. A person’s social position is never the same when with family, friends, work colleagues, university and et cetera. Order is being reshuffled, to suit the present situation. It can be overwhelming.

I need a stronger reminder on to “do good and avoid evil” and “do what is right and not wrong”.

On a less cloudy note, Raya is coming =) Two weeks of hols. I could be back home but i chose not to. Let’s see how this time it will turn out. I am accepting Made’s invitation to stay with her and her lovely family in Bali. However i think 8 days without my favourite two is rather empty… ( oddly i sound like another mangkuk 7 now!)

Ahh… and to think of the kuih raya Alia gave me last year *drools*
Raya Cookies

Her aunty made these goodies and sells! Oh my, the cornflake cookies is one of my favourite after those chocolate balls!

A very Happy Holidays to all =) and for those who wants to give any type of contribution to those left out in Malang, Jawa Timur, please don’t hesistate to contact me. Money is most welcome to the funds of Left-Out-Ones-in-Malang.

Yesterday was my Seniors ‘Angkat Sumpah’

:: doctors waiting to serve the country ::

This is not the convocation yet, that will be next month on the 25th of November. The university will collect all the graduating students from all the faculty and hold the convocation.

There were many parents there, friends, girlfriends/boyfriends, senior doctors dressed up beautifully and smartly. Plenty of photo sessions were going on. The event was held at 4pm so that later everyone can break the fast together. Previously, there will be lots of leftover of food so many of our seniors asked us to join them. However i think this round, lots of people ate more, especially those who were fasting.

Attending the event and watching some of these new doctors and their parents made me wonder about the future forlornly whether my parents will be able to attend my ‘Angakat Sumpah’ or my convocation later? Preferably both!

Sleepy siut! But then i think i need to do a bit of updating work here:

Last weekend and Monday was one of the busiest socialising week of my life!

2002 batch seniors of mine are now doctors =) they decided to throw a party for us all and themselves a happy farewell party! Everybatch needed to perform. Needless to say, my batch won hands down! It was a big group effort for a small group of 8. The Hamper we won is still untouched yet though. I really enjoyed the performances from the juniors of 2008 batch!

So the Theme was 70’s Era.
Never ever… i saw so many people in Malang ever so excited and purposely went shopping for this occasion! Got to say *cheers* to those boys who really made an effort to dress up well :)

On another story…
Monday all of the Chinese gathered to celebrate mooncake festival :D okie for the first time since i’m abroad i celebrated it la konon!
We planned to make Claypot Chicken Rice, Tong Yuen, and Mooncake!

All 2 out of three of the menu failed miserably, the tong yuen was passable but it could have been better. The last time i made with the 2008 juniors were better.

None of the food pics were taken. It wasn’t because it was to revolting to be taken pic of but i was too busy to take pic of food and it didn’t deserve to be photo by the way :p

To my dismay, the credits of the chicken claypot rice was given to me! By actual reality is that the procedure of cooking wasn’t mine! I did the marination only Full Stop, and the cooking style was done by another friend of mine. Sigh~ I’m being terribly framed here! The only thing that rectify the meal of the night was the “Kuchai Fried Egg”, and that was my cooking la! 9 Eggs were used in total to fry twice!

Tsk tsk… one day la i got time i make the chicken claypot rice all be myself and show them the difference! HURM!

We ended the night we some lattern playing (konon) and walked back with Tapau-ed Tong Yuen.

Later this Evening will be my seniors ‘Angkat Sumpah’, whereby they will swear to the oath of Hippocrates and other stuff. Everyone graduating seniors must wear traditional outfit and each can bring 5 people from their family or friends. Tanu’s mom came over on Sunday and she has been doing massive cooking and cooking for the pass few days, and she’s going to be doing that for the next four more days la. Hope she will get well soon!
